This postcard has the stamp of the stationers, Edgar Beach, seen in the picture at no 100. On the back appears to be a quote for something, to be had in plain or coloured for my great-grandfather. The card was, however, printed in Germany.
My great-grandfather's greengrocers shop is further down the street with bags of ?potatoes outside.

A postcard including my great-grandparents shop at 110 Mitcham Lane, Streatham. Not sure of the date; there are other photos which show an open shopfront but this is enclosed and the large lamp is not present.

The Roman Catholic Church in Streatham. The churchyard of the Anglican Church of St Leonard's is to the right and the road going towards the tower in the distance is Mitcham Lane. Photo pre 1900.

Streatham High Road

Another of the views of Streatham. I am not sure where along the High Road this is, given the greenery in the distance is presumably in the grounds of St Leonard's Church I think this might be the junction of the A23 and A214 looking north.
Given the muck on the street and the type of vehicle it must be before 1900.

Another of my grandmother's postcards. Somewhere along here around 1880 my great-grandfather John Stacey worked as a gardener at Norfolk House before becoming a greengrocer. The house and its land was redeveloped around 1905, about the time of this photo. The trams are electric by this time.

This view is further down the street at the corner with the parish church of St Leonards on the left and looking towards London. The main road to Croydon goes off to the right as the signpost says. Mitcham Lane runs off beside the photographer on the left which is where my grandmother's father had his greengrocers. born.

The White Lion - Streatham

This postcard from my grandmother's collection is of family significance. An obituary in the Streatham paper said 'Mr Jefferies started his business as a bootmaker next to the 'White Lion' in 1865.

Streatham High Street, looking south to St Leonard's Church. My grandfather was baptised in that church in 1880.
