Voters in Clapham and Brixton Hill have gone to the ballot box in the general election 2024.

A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the Greater London constituency which includes the Lambeth wards of Brixton Acre Lane; Brixton North; Brixton Rush Common; Clapham Common and Abbeville; Clapham East; Clapham Park; Clapham Town; St Martin's; Stockwell East; Stockwell West and Larkhall; Streatham Hill West and Thornton; and a very small part of West Dulwich.

The seat has been established for the 2024 general election and created from the former Streatham and Vauxhall constituencies.

The shock summer general election was called by Rishi Sunak on May 22, with elections taking place in all 650 seats across the UK. Since the 2019 general election major boundary changes affecting 90% of Parliamentary constituencies have come into force.

Ahead of the election, a Conservative government had been in power in Parliament since 2010.

Polls closed in the general election 2024 at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
