The 26-year-old’s injuries were later assessed as not life-threatening. Despite the victim not willing to support police action an investigation was launched. Officers established that the victim had been injured outside a supermarket in Cedar Road, Tottenham. CCTV images clearly captured Ezbon shooting the man after a fight at around 5am, Scotland Yard said. A manhunt was launched and Ezbon was caught as he tried to escape a friend’s home in Stanford Way, Streatham, January 8. He was arrested and taken into custody. A shell casing recovered at the scene assisted in linking Ezbon to the shooting. With the offence caught on CCTV, it left him with no choice but to plead guilty. He was charged and remanded on Tuesday, 9 January Detective Constable Rhiain John, who led the investigation said: “Ezbon is a dangerous offender with links to gangs, which is believed to be the motivation behind this incident. “I’m pleased to see that the sentence given today means he will spend a significant amount of time behind bars.” Web Link Gunman shot man in leg and fled to south London - Tottenham Independent Tottenham Independent
