Lines have now reopened, as no evidence of the incident was found, but disruption is expected to last until 10pm. A spokesperson for National Rail said: “There were reports that a person had been hit by a train earlier today. “All lines were shut in the Streatham area whilst this was investigated, however, no evidence of the incident was found and the lines have reopened. “Southern and Thameslink have begun to recover their service but there will be ongoing delays, alterations and cancellations whilst they work to get their crew and trains back to their working timetable.” Customers have been advised to allow an extra 15 minutes before travel and to check station screens for the latest information. Ongoing delays, cancellations and alterations to services are expected and there will be a reduced service between St Albans and Sutton.
