Streatham Hill Gaumont Cinema (Facade)

Facade of 1932 Streatham Hill ‘Gaumont Palace’ cinema, the first floor level included a terrace cafe area.

After bomb damage in 1944, the cinema was rebuilt and re-opened in 1955, but closed as a cinema in 1961. It was later used as a bowling alley and laser-drome, closed again in 2008.

The original building was demolished and re-developed as flats and a ground floor supermarket, retaining the cinema facade.
