First the produced a 6-0 win on home ice on Saturday night over Chelmsford Chieftains before a 2-1 win at Invicta Dynamos. Homegrown talent Harvey Briggs netted the opening goal on Saturday – and his first at the High Road – after 12 minutes with Luke Brittle and Ziggy Beesley providing the set-up play. The RedHawks are carrying a lot of injuries but were buoyed by the announcement of the return of Jared Lane to the squad after a brief break from the sport. Slough were forced to change netminders as Brett Massey made way for Ruari McGibbon in the fifth minute. It brought further confirmation that the Government is now in full retreat from Net Zero. The announcement of a new North Sea annual oil and gas licensing bill changes little in practice, simply reiterating the Tories’ unsustainable commitment to more fossil fuel drilling. Streatham pay respects to Adam Johnson before recording back-to-back NIHL 1 victories Submitted by daniel on Thu, 09/11/2023 - 08:00 Picture Image Streatham won twice last weekend in the NIHL 1 and paid their respects to Adam Johnson before Saturday’s 8-3 home win over Invicta Dynamos, writes Christopher Beal. Nottingham Panthers’ Johnson died at the end of last month after sustaining a cut to his neck from a skate worn by an opposition player. Both teams laid a wreath at the High Road and all the players wore neckguards, a further legacy of Johnson’s passing. Streatham opened the scoring in the eighth minute. JJ Pitchley and Josh Ealey-Newman linked up with Tomasz Skokan applying the finish.
