Morden to Brixton bus route 118 comes to an end TOMORROW - Wandsworth Guardian

On Saturday (February 1), Transport for London (TfL) will be making significant changes to bus services in south London, including the withdrawal of route 118.

Instead, a revised route 45 will take over much of its route, running between Camberwell Green and Morden.

As part of these changes, route 45 will be extended from Brixton Hill to Morden, following the same path that route 118 previously covered.

However, it will no longer run between Elephant & Castle and Camberwell Green, or between Brixton Hill and Clapham Park.

Suspended south London night bus route could be permanently axed - Wandsworth Guardian

A consultation has been launched to axe late night buses at the weekend for route 319 between Sloane Square and Streatham Hill.

These services have been suspended since the pandemic, but TfL plans to now make this change permanent.

Transport bosses say they have made the decision because there was “limited” use of the route before the pandemic, so its reintroduction cannot be justified.

They add that as the route is already suspended, withdrawing it completely “would not impact any existing passengers”.

Two south London bus routes will be changed despite backlash - Wandsworth Guardian

Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that it is pressing ahead with planned changes to routes 45 and 59 despite widespread concern from local people in a consultation.

Route 45 currently runs between Elephant & Castle and Clapham via Camberwell and Brixton.

But its timetable will now be amended during February next year so that it instead travels between Camberwell and Morden.

The changes have been proposed so that the route can replace the 118 between Brixton and Morden, which will be scrapped at the same time.

During the consultation, TfL asked: "How would the proposed changes to routes 45, 59, and 118 impact you?”
