The Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant and Takeaway has been established in Streatham since 1961. The Taj Mahal's traditional dishes are rooted in the soil of Bengal and Northern India.

The Taj Mahal offer an excellent selection of Indian cuisine to suit all palates. In particular The Taj Mahal caters well for vegetarians as well as offering a variety of meat and seafood dishes. These include:

TANDOORI DISHES
Exotic Tandoori Dishes Spiced and barbecued in charcoal fired "clay ovens"    

SHAHI DISHES
Renowned for richness & mildness, cooked with almonds, nuts, cream & spic

BIRIANI DISHES
Medium dishes with meat cooked with rice, blending the flavour, with a special vegetable sauce

JALFREZI DISHES
Hot curries, similar to vindaloo in a rich sauce with sliced green chillies to give extra heat

BHUNA DISHES
Medium hot curries, highly spiced in a rich curry sauce bringing out the taste of various spices & fresh coriander.

DOPIAZA DISHES
Like the rogan these are very spicy dishes, rich gravy and slightly hot decorated with crispy onion on the top
    
MADRAS CURRY DISHES
Highly spiced and hot, cooked with very rich spices and hot chilli

VINDALOO DISHES
These curries are very hot, cooked with selected hot spices including a good helping of chilli

DANSAK DISHES
Cooked with lentils, very sweet, sour and hot. 

VEGETABLE SIDE DISHES
These dishes an complimentary to the main dishes. All cooked with selected spices to balance the main dish

DRINKS

The Taj Mahal offers a good selection of drinks including draft beer and a nice selection of bottled beers to suit. 

Located opposite Streatham Hill Station on Leigham Court Road, the Taj Mahal represents excellent value for money and I would recommend this as a good meeting point after work to eat and unwind after a day at work.

The Taj Mahal is open from 12 noon - 3pm and then 6pm - Midnight 7 Days a week including Bank Holidays. The Taj Mahal offers free delivery to anywhere within 3 miles of Streatham Hill Station.
