Estate agent puts 'hole in the ground' on housing market for staggering £30,000

A basement which has been compared to a "hole in the ground" has been put on the housing market for £30,000.

The supposed property, which has been described as a "unique basement space", is on sale in Streatham, South London. According to the listing on Zoopla, the site offers an "excellent investment opportunity".

Pictures show the space is completely empty and features nothing but exposed brick and structure. One shocked viewer remarked: “ I knew property prices in London were insane but this takes the biscuit. They’re asking a fortune for what looks like a hole in the ground.”

The prospective buyer would have to splash out an eyewatering sum to revamp the large space, which consists of four blank rooms. Estate Agents, We Can Properties said the structure is located in Baldry Gardens, SW16, and described it as a 'property'. The listing states: "Welcome to this unique basement space.
