Exhibitions Coldharbour Studios: 5 Artists Showing from Thursday 3 April Brixton Library, SW2 1JQ Exhibition available during Library opening hours As well as being about the challenge of engaging constructively with mere paint on a surface reacting to light, all the paintings in this exhibition are about ideas or feelings. Between them, the painters address a multitude of subjects, including stillness, emotional states from joy to distress and reflections on uncertainty and interacting mindfully with chaos or the accidental, addressing though painting, communication that cannot be reached fully with words. Exhibition Launch and Private View Tuesday 3 April, 6pm Booking via Eventbrite Further information: [email protected] Linktr.ee/coldharbourldn Lise Meyrick: Fleeting Fragmented Showing until Friday 18 April. Durning Library, SE11 4HF. Exhibition available during Library opening hours. Meyrick’s work explores the fleeting and fragmented nature of memory—how places, feelings, and moments shift over time. Inspired by nature’s changing landscapes, she uses layers of acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media to capture both clarity and uncertainty, light and shadow. Blues run throughout her work—deep indigos, soft ceruleans, and vibrant ultra marine tones—reflecting the vastness of sky and water, but also the weight of emotion. Ultimately, Meyrick is drawn to the space between remembering and forgetting, where fragments of the past take on new meaning in the present. She says: “My work is an invitation to linger in the in-between spaces.” Further information: www.lisemeyrick.com MAG: A Group Art Show Images: Celia Martin Perez, Edwina Hannam, Kate Newington and Patricia O’Malley Showing from Tuesday 8 April Clapham Library, SW4 7DB Exhibition available during Library opening hours MAG (Monday Art Group) is a group of five South London based, professional and recreational artists, working in a variety of media, who started an online group beginning of Lockdown 2020.
