Serious delays on the A23 The A23 is seeing heavy traffic at the junction of Stoats Nest Road. Temporary traffic lights in operation to facilitate water leak repair work. The A13 and A406 are also facing serious disruption. Check before committing to your journey this morning. Good services on all TfL lines Maybe for the first time in forever, London Underground and Overground lines are facing no disruption early hours of the day. That said, Goodge Street tube station will remain shut today due to lack of staff at the station. A13 also facing serious delays Lane closures and restrictions in place for flyover refurbishment works on the A13. The delays are heavy on Newham Way (both directions) between East India Dock Road and Beckton Road. On the night of Saturday April 12, the westbound carriageway will be closed 10pm. Serious delays on the A406 Traffic is very slow on the approach to A406. The westbound closure for emergency gas works on North Circular Road is the cause behind the delay. The delays have been occuring since Monday, March 31 and are expected to last until Friday, April 4. Minor delays on the Jubilee line The Jubilee line is now experiencing minor delays instead of severe delays. The Bakerloo line is also experiencing minor delays between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to an earlier faulty train at Queen's Park. But there is a good service on the rest of the line. Disruption between South Croydon and East Croydon Trains are travelling at a slower pace on all lines due to animals on the South Croydon to East Croydon railway. There may be a ten-minute delay or revision for trains passing through these areas. Here are the full routes impacted: Gatwick Express between Brighton and London Victoria Southern between East Grinstead / Reigate and London Victoria, and also between Uckfield / Caterham and London Bridge Thameslink between Three Bridges and Bedford, and also between Horsham and Peterborough RMT union demands tube staff should get priority access to affordable homes London Underground employees should have "priority access" to new residences being constructed by Transport for London, according to a Tube union. In its submission to the yearly salary negotiations between TfL and the unions that represent the 16,500 Tube employees, the RMT has included the request. It demands that "any joint housing development between TfL and property developers make social housing accessible to all first." An RMT spokesperson said: “The union has always called for transport workers to be treated as key workers, like they were in the pandemic. “Therefore it is only fair and proper that they get priority on social housing in London near to their places of work so they can keep London moving 24/7.” Read more on it here. TfL accused of not 'properly informing' Streatham residents Local Liberal Democrats have criticized plans to upgrade Streatham Hill's section of the A23 road with new pedestrian crossings and a protected bike track, claiming that people have not been adequately consulted on the plan. Last Monday, Transport for London (TfL) declared that the project between Holmewood Road at the summit of Brixton Hill and Sternhold Avenue, adjacent to Streatham Hill station, will start construction this summer. The plan also includes enhancements to bus lanes by eliminating parking and loading bays, making it safer and more enjoyable for people to stroll and cycle along the major road. You can read about it here. Issue at Elizabeth line fixed but Jubilee line continues facing delays The Elizabeth line has fixed all issues and is currently running a good service. The same can’t be said for the Jubilee and Bakerloo lines which are still running on minor delays. Disruption at South Croydon Animals on the railway at South Croydon has meant that some lines lines are blocked. Trains running through this station may be revised or delayed by up to 15 minutes.
