With the London Marathon set to take place this Sunday (April 21), plenty of people will be flocking to London in support of the major sporting event.

This weekend Thameslink is set to conduct planned engineering works affecting travel between some central London stations and Finsbury Park, affecting some services running to and from London.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Saturday (April 20) – Sunday (April 21)

This weekend there will be no trains running between Finsbury Park and London St Pancras International and London Bridge, due to planned engineering work closing all lines over the weekend.

As a result no trains will run between Finsbury Park or London St Pancras International and London Bridge.

Thameslink has also advised customers that there will be an amended timetable over the weekend.

These are the planned changes:

On Sunday Thameslink trains between London St Pancras International and Luton or Bedford will not call at Kentish Town, with customers advised to travel on either the 46 or 214 bus routes to complete journeys.

An amended timetable will also run between:

London Kings Cross and Cambridge or Peterborough.

London Bridge and Rainham, Three Bridges, Horsham or Brighton.

London Victoria and Sevenoaks.

No train services will run between London Blackfriars and Sutton by the stations of Wimbledon and Mitcham Junction.
