Thames Water is carrying out emergency works in Leigham Court Road, Streatham this week between the junction near Streatham Hill Station and Leigham Vale Road. It is expected that the work will continue until the end of the week.

Lambeth Council is monitoring Thames Water’s management of the works to minimise disruption and ensure they are completed as soon as possible. We are working to ensure people can still access Leigham Court Road while the repairs are ongoing.

The critically-acclaimed kids game show Blue Badge Bunch is coming to Streatham Space Project on Tuesday 24 October for half-term as part of its 2023 UK tour, fresh off the back of a hit Edinburgh Fringe run at The Pleasance.

Blue Badge Bunch is an interactive kids game show from production company Ingenious Fools that offers audiences the experience of what it is like to have different disabilities through interactive games.

The rather splendid Streatham Strut is back this weekend, offering a ton of live music in a host of venues around SW16.

The music segment of Streatham Festival, the event runs as a one-day musical “pub crawl” showcasing 10 free live bands along and around Streatham High Street.

The route starts in Streatham Hill at 1pm with band 1 playing in venue 1, and then band 2 playing in venue 2, and so on up until 10pm for the final act at The Rabbit Hole down near Streatham Common.

The Streatham Space Project has announced the launch of their Good Trouble festival, running from the 8th to the 13th October 2023.

Inspired by Civil Rights activist John Lewis’s call to get into “good [and] necessary trouble”, Good Trouble Festival is a multi-art festival that aims to “disrupt, speak truth to power, and uplift all budding good troublemakers out there.”

All events will take place at the Streatham Space Project, Sternhold Avenue, Streatham Hill, SW2 4PA

The Streatham Free Film Festival is returning to SW16 later this month with a full bill of movies being shown around town.

The season starts off on the 16th with an outdoor screening of E.T. at the Rookery and ends with the wonderful Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Pratts & Payne pub on the 30th.

A leading Streatham store is helping to distribute hundreds of personal care and household items to people who are facing hygiene poverty in London.

The Tesco Extra at Streatham High Road has joined forces with charity In Kind Direct and suppliers Unilever, Kimberley Clark, Essity and Haleon, which supply well-known household brands such as Radox, Persil, Andrex, Bodyform, and Sensodyne.

Until 3 October 2023, for every two purchases by Tesco customers from a selection of essential hygiene products, a third product will be donated directly to charity.
