Teaching assistant accused of child sexual offences Submitted by daniel on Tue, 01/04/2025 - 13:47 Charlie Territt, 31, from South Bermondsey, was formerly employed as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Streatham Wells Primary School. He is charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and causing a child to watch a sexual act. Territt pleaded not guilty to the three charges during a brief hearing at Inner London Crown Court on Tuesday, April 1. The court heard the charges relate to allegations that Territt engaged in a sexual conversation with a child online last year. Among them, 10 of the branches closing will be in the capital, with five of them confirmed in south London including Eltham, Sidcup and Croydon. We have compiled the details for you to plan your journey this week. Monday to Wednesday (March 17 to March 19) The 11.20pm train from London Victoria to London Bridge train will run non-stop from Streatham Hill to London Bridge. Thames Water water issues continue in south east London Submitted by daniel on Wed, 12/02/2025 - 08:39 Picture Image Thames Water says that homes in south east and south west London may be experiencing a loss of water supply or of pressure today (February 12). This has been ongoing after a leak at a Crystal Palace pumping station yesterday (February 11), as the supplier said repairs were underway. It is mainly affecting the Upper Norwood and Crystal Palace districts in the SE19 area, Anerley and Penge in SE20, Honor Oak and Forest Hill in SE23, Sydenham in SE26 and Norwood in SE27. The issue mainly affects the Upper Norwood and Crystal Palace districts in the SE19 area, West Norwood, parts of Gipsy Hill and Tulse Hill in the SE27 area, and parts of Streatham in the SW16 area. Thames Water has redirected water through other pipes to maintain supply. Updates are expected later today (February 11), and residents have been thanked for their patience. Borough Hall Greenwich among theatres on 2025 risk register Submitted by daniel on Tue, 28/01/2025 - 01:00 Picture Image The trust, which acts as the national advice and advocacy body for UK theatres, has named 44 theatres across the country that are threatened by closure due to structural issues, safety concerns, or redevelopment plans. Many of these theatres, the trust says, are of significant historical and cultural importance and could remain valuable community spaces if given the right support. In the south area of London, the two theatres at risk are Streatham Hill Theatre and Borough Hall in Greenwich. Latest cases in Bexley and Bromley courts this week Submitted by daniel on Sat, 11/01/2025 - 05:00 Picture Image Joe Lerwill, 37, of Streatham Hill, admitted driving whilst disqualified and failing to provide a specimen in Lambeth on both October 7, and driving whilst disqualified on November 11. Lerwill was given a 25-week prison sentence. Claude Spencer, 51, of no fixed abode, admitted breaking into a car and stealing a suitcase on Limes Grove in Lewisham on Wednesday (January 8).
