The Southern trains cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this weekend - Richmond and Twickenham Times

The work will affect trains from September 21 (Saturday) through to September 22 (Sunday).

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

September 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday):

Engineering work is taking place between Peckham Rye and Streatham, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between London Bridge and Streatham Common via Peckham Rye.

Trains which usually run between London Bridge and East Croydon via Peckham Rye will only run between Streatham and East Croydon.

Shrimp Shack is a spacious, radiant seafood-centric restaurant which offers a refreshing and quirky take on traditional shrimp dishes and is open seven days a week.

My housemate and I headed to the all-new location on Monday night and were amazed at the décor, service, and of course, the shrimp.

Met Police officer charged with murder of Chris Kaba in Streatham

Met Police officer who shot Chris Kaba dead in Streatham charged with murder - Richmond and Twickenham Times

Mr Kaba, 24, died on September 6, 2022, after he was struck by a single bullet fired by a firearms officer.

The officer, who has not been named, will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (September 21).

Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) Special Crime Division, said: “Following a thorough review of the evidence provided by the IOPC (Independent Office for Police Conduct), the CPS has authorised a charge of murder against a Metropolitan Police officer following the death of Chris Kaba.
