Armed police have shot dead a suspected terrorist feared he was wearing a suicide vest, after at least two people were stabbed during a brawl on a south London street.

Officers went to the scene outside a supermarket on Streatham Road at around 02am following reports of a fire.

Photos from the scene show a lifeless body, face down on the pavement and with a large knife next to it, Telegrafi reports.

In one video, police and undercover officers are seen approaching the suspect's body before he sped away from the area.

The London police have shot dead a suspect for a terrorist attack, after he had wounded several people with a knife in the middle of a street in London.

Officers are currently at the scene on the High Road in Streatham, south London, the Telegraph reports.

The suspect was shot by armed officers.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement saying: “A person has been shot by armed officers in #Streatham.
