The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025 has revealed the highest performing primary and secondary schools in the UK.

The survey, which is widely known to be the most “authoritative survey”, is a definitive resource that scores schools ranging from comprehensives to grammar schools.

This year marks the survey's 32nd year and is a 28-page guide published for parents to help them seeking to find the best school for their child.

This year 43 schools across the capital were named among the top performing schools in the country, including King's College School in Wimbledon and Judith Kerr Primary School in Southwark Anong the list this year was Newstead Wood in Orpington, which received the award for State Secondary School of the Year in London.

Newstead Wood School, Orpington:

The school won State Secondary School of the Year in London and was ninth in the top state secondary schools in London and 22nd in the national ranking.

Ashcroft Technology Academy, Wandsworth:

The school won International Baccalaureate State School of the Year in the 2025 Parent Power National Awards.

King's Maths School, Lambeth:

King’s Maths School received an award for Sixth Form College of the Year & Sixth Form College of the Year for Academic Excellence in the 2025 Parent Power National Awards.

King's College School, Wimbledon:

King’s College School in Wimbledon won Independent International Baccalaureate School of the Year in the 2025 Parent Power National Awards.

The school was also third in the top secondary independent schools in London and third in the national ranking.

St Olave’s Grammar School, Orpington:

St Olave’s School was fourth in the top state secondary schools in London and fourth in the national ranking.

The Tiffin Girls’ School, Kingston Upon Thames:

The school was fifth in the top state secondary schools in London and 6th in the national ranking.

Tiffin School, Kingston Upon Thames:

Tiffin School in Kingston Upon Thames was fifth in the top state secondary schools in London and 13th in the national ranking.

Wallington County Grammar School, Wallington:

The school was rated tenth in the top state secondary schools in London and 27th in the national ranking.

St Andrew's RC Primary School, Streatham:

St Andrew’s was rated third in the top primary schools in London and also fourth in the national ranking.

Judith Kerr Primary School, Southwark:

The school was rated fourth in the top primary schools in London and fifth in the national ranking.

St Luke's CofE Primary School, Kingston:

The school was rated 10th in the top primary schools in London and 23rd in the national ranking.

Alongside scoring the best schools in the UK, the guide also includes educational advice on topics like applying for a scholarship, as well as interviews and insider features on some of the best schools in the UK.
