Managed by Reka Szigeti since September 2022, the pub has also created 20 new full- and part-time jobs.

Your Local Guardian visited the pub on Streatham High Road on April 30 to explore the revamped facilities.

Originally established as a Wetherspoon in December 1998, The Holland Tringham has undergone a complete makeover, including enhancements to the customer area, bar, and other amenities.

The refurbishment encompasses redecoration throughout, featuring new light fixtures, carpets, and luxurious marble wall panels in the customer toilets.

Fellmongers Yard Croydon stabbing: Man charged with murder - Sutton & Croydon Guardian

David Walcott, 34, of Turle Road, Norbury was charged with murder today (April 20) and will appear at Bromley Magistrates Court later today.

Police launched an investigation after the death of Rijkaard Siafa, who was stabbed to death at Fellmongers Yard in Croydon on April 12 at around 6pm.

Walcott was arrested yesterday (April 19) in the early hours of the morning and police have confirmed that Rijkaard’s family have been updated with this development and continue to receive support.

The Holland Tringham pub, located on Streatham High Road, is set to reopen at 8am on Tuesday, April 30.

An additional 20 full- and part-time jobs have been created at The Holland Tringham, which has been managed by pub manager Reka Szigeti since September 2022.

The pub, which first opened as a Wetherspoon in December 1998, has undergone a complete refurbishment to the customer area, as well as upgrades to the bar and other facilities.

Streatham Wells Primary School rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted - Sutton & Croydon Guardian

Streatham Wells Primary School, based in Palace Road, was most recently inspected on January 30 and 31, 2024, and the report was published on March 15, 2024.

The school was rated as outstanding in every area: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision.

Pupils told inspectors that it is an “amazing” school and parents and carers were “equally complimentary”.

Ofsted reported that the school has a “happy, community feel” which is underpinned by “strong and nurturing” working relationships.

The incident happened in Fernwood Avenue just before 2.30pm on April 5.

Officers were called to the scene and the man was found unresponsive.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and was pronounced dead yesterday (April 6).

Police believe they know his identity and enquiries are now ongoing to locate next of kin.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.

He has since been bailed pending further police enquiries.

My housemate and I headed to the all-new location on Monday night and were amazed at the décor, service, and of course, the shrimp.

The restaurant's layout is thoughtfully designed, with ample seating arrangements suitable for intimate dinners or lively gatherings with friends and family.

Glenister Park Road Streatham fire 'murder' victim named - Sutton & Croydon Guardian

Basilio Dos Santos Antonio, 49, was found dead inside a house on Glenister Park Road shortly after 7pm on Sunday, February 25.

Basilio, originally from Brazil, had been in the UK for a number of years and worked as a cleaner.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to come to terms with their loss.”

A 34-year-old woman, Mayara Loiola Ataide, a 46-year-old man, Gevaldo Tavares Dos Santos, have been charged with murder.

Japanese Knotweed is an invasive non-native plant that can grow up to 7ft tall and root itself deep in the ground, which can affect the foundations of your home and make it difficult to sell.

According to the Property Care Association (PCA), Japanese Knotweed is becoming a “more viable” plant, with advice to homeowners to treat it to avoid implications on property structures.

Police update after man dies in Babington Road Streatham - Sutton & Croydon Guardian

The incident happened in Babington Road shortly after 1pm on March 2.

Officers, paramedics and London Air Ambulance attended and found a man injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

His death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.

His family has been informed and police will now prepare a file for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly after 13:00hrs on Saturday, 2 March to reports of a man found injured on Babington Road, SW16.
