Pastor Lorraine Jones-Burrell, founder and chief executive officer of theDwayne Simpson Foundation, is made an MBE, Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to young people and to tackling knife crime. Steadman Scott, co-founder of Afewee football academy and boxing gym based in Brixton Rec, receives a Medal of the Order of the British Empire. Pastor Lorraine launched the Dwayne Simpson Foundation 10 years ago. It is named for her son Dwayne, who lost his life to knife crime in Brixton.
