The works, over the week of half term from Saturday, October 26 until Friday, November 1, are set to take place in the area between Crystal Palace, Tulse Hill and Peckham Rye. These works are being carried out by Network Rail and will affect travel on London Overground, Thameslink and Southern services. Why is this happening? The upgrades, overseen by Network Rail, are part of a £400 million programme to improve tracks and signalling systems in south London. This follows on from a previous upgrade that took place between East Croydon and London Victoria in 2022, which Network Rail say reduced signalling-related delays by “more than half.” What stations and services will this impact? As a result, 11 stations will have no Southern services for seven days, 16 stations will have no Thameslink services for seven days and 5 stations will have no London Overground services running for seven days.
