‘Carmageddon’ chaos continues as more roadworks wreak havoc on Streatham Wells LTN – Lib Dems - BrixtonBuzz

Standstill struck Streatham again last night after fresh roadworks surfaced on the boundary roads of a new Low-Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN).

Temporary traffic lights were installed at the junction of Streatham High Road, Stanthorpe Road, and the A214, to allow roadworks by SGN.

The challenges to travel presented by these roadworks is yet another barrier to residents who have faced a series of major disruptions on their roads in recent weeks.

Brixton Library to close for two months in November while Streatham Library is to be refurbished - BrixtonBuzz

Brixton Library and Streatham Library are undergoing refurbishment and improvement work as part of Lambeth Council’s commitment to invest in our public libraries which have more than a million visits each year.

Brixton Library in Windrush Square will need to close for around two months, from 20 November until 30 January next year, so major work can be undertaken. The council has arranged for a temporary library to run at Brixton Recreation Centre in nearby Brixton Station Road to minimise the impact on local people.
